My name is Ali and I am an IELTS teacher. Teaching IELTS is actually my passion. I have been teaching English since 2002, but in 2009 I decided to focus exclusively on IELTS and since then I have just trained my students for this exam. During these years, I have endeavoured to help my students develop the necessary English language skills to be successful in their future business and particularly university setting. Before the lesson, I will give you an article (from english-online.net or another online source) about the topic for you to study to prepare. In the conversation lesson, we will talk about the topic. You will expand your English vocabulary with my suggestions.  You will review spoken grammar when you use it in the conversation and receive my constant feedback.  I will explain the grammar point if needed.  You will leave the lesson with many notes and some exercises to study further.

Hi, I’m Rob, a native English speaking teacher from Canada currently living in Prague, Czech Republic, with 20 years of ESL and university teaching experience. I work with intermediate to advanced students (B1-C2), with most of my students interested in conversation/communication English (focusing on speaking and listening skills, including fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation and intonation, and grammar), but I’m also happy to work with students on writing and reading.

Hi, I'm Cara. I help new arrivals in English-speaking countries understand and chat to fast-talking native speakers by improving their listening skills with movies. I'm originally from the UK, have lived in France for 16 years and I've been teaching English for around 10 years. 

Improving your listening skills helps you not only understand people, but also makes you sound more natural in English. That's because when you understand what people are saying to you, you can pick up expressions that native speakers really use so that you can fit in with them. 

My special listening skills method will also help you watch movies and TV series without the subtitles. 

Here's how my lessons work (my classes are 30 minutes long with pre-class tasks to complete): 

• Before the lesson, I send you links to movie clips plus listening and writing tasks to improve your listening skills.
• You listen to the clips, do the tasks, and write your answers in a Google doc that I share with you. That way I can see your answers.
• During a 30-minute class, we go over your answers together and I help you understand the fast pronunciation of words from the clip you didn't catch.
• You learn new vocabulary, improve your listening skills and work on your pronunciation. We'll also have some general discussion about the clip.
